Keeping
up with an exercise program can
be difficult when you are pregnant.
One way to stay active is with
Pilates, a mind / body method
of exercise that strengthens the
most important muscles you’ll
use during pregnancy and labor:
Your abdominals, pelvic muscles
and back. You may already feel
back strain as you get further
along in your pregnancy and this
program helps you improve body
alignment so you experience less
pain. Since many traditional Pilates
exercises are performed either
lying on your back or stomach,
the use of equipment such as a
Spine Corrector (or C-shaper),
stability balls, stability chairs,
Cadillac and reformer is necessary
to make the whole experience a
safe and comfortable one.
